Mikel Arteta hints at further signings

Mikel Arteta revealed the club is “still hoping to do something else if the market allows”.

It means Arsenal could yet make more signings before the transfer window slams shut at the end of August.

Arteta could shift his focus towards bringing in Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans before the end of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal now has plenty of options in attack, including new signings Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, and Marquinhos alongside Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe, and Gabriel Martinelli.

Forgotten man Reiss Nelson could also get a chance to impress following his loan spell at Dutch side Feyenoord, meaning Arteta can put his energy into improving his midfield.

And with reports suggesting Leicester could be interested in signing Bernd Leno as their replacement for Nice-bound Kasper Schmeichel, a move could be edging closer.
