The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced 215 job opportunities for its graduates

The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced 215 job opportunities for its graduates.

In an advertisement on Saturday, September 21, NYS announced 15 openings for drivers (10) and tuktuk riders (5), as well as 200 positions for data entry clerks.

According to the service, the client for the driver and tuktuk rider positions is a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial products.

“Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial products has opportunities for National Youth Service-trained drivers/Tuktuk riders to be engaged in their transport and logistics department,” NYS stated.

Interested candidates for the driver positions must be NYS graduates aged 30 years and above, possess a valid driving license and Certificate of Good Conduct, have at least three years of manual car driving experience.

Tuk-tuk riders must be NYS graduates aged 27 years and above, hold a valid Driving License Class G & F, have at least three years of delivery experience, and possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

For the data entry positions, NYS disclosed that its client was an IT company specialising in providing information and content management.

“With a rich history and a highly motivated workforce operating in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, our client, an IT company specializing in providing information and content management, has vacant positions for data entry clerks who wish to hire National Youth Service graduates at entry level to join their talent,” NYS remarked.

Interested candidates must be NYS graduates aged 18-27 years, holding a Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology or a business-related course, with strong skills in data entry and computer operations. They should demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

They should also possess good communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, basic computer skills (including familiarity with data entry software), and the ability to work independently.

Previous experience in data entry or digitization will be an added advantage.
