Opinion polls 2022; Raila Odinga leads at 45% followed by Ruto at 42%

Opinion polls 2022 by Statistics Kenya show Raila Odinga now leads at 45% followed by Ruto at 42%.

Raila Odinga has now overtaken William Ruto. He polled at 45% followed by Ruto at 42%. 

Jimi Wanjigi came third at 1%. However, 11% of the voters remain undecided.

According to the Opinion polls 2022 by Statistics Kenya; a clear majority was identified as supporting Raila Odinga for the presidency. 

He is currently the most popular candidate in most regions with great support except in the Rift Valley and Central regions; where Deputy President William Ruto leads marginally.

This indicates 2022 election will be a two-horse race.

In Nairobi, it is a close call as Raila Odinga leads with a slight margin.

The polls indicate Rift Valley, Central, and Nairobi will have a significant chance to sway a good chunk to swoon undecided voters.

The opinion polls were conducted between 16.03.2022 and 30.03.2022.

The survey covered a variety of vital public issues concerning national political representation. Below is a summary of the findings.

In addition, the Azimio la Umoja coalition leads the Kenya Kwanza coalition in popularity by 45.9% and 41.4% respectively.
