Kenyans have criticized Kapseret Member of Parliament (MP) for flaunting his KSh 17 million watch in the face of the country’s suffering.
Sudi was speaking on the Obinna Show where she showed his watch and explained where he got it from.
“I was given the watch by a former prime minister of another country. There were two of them I didn’t even know how much they cost,” he said.
“Sometimes Kenyans are on the wrong. This watch was not made for trees or cows, it was made for human beings. Who do you want to wear this watch? Let’s stop being jealous,” he added.
The incident sparked debate with many questioning his behaviour as Kenyans face hard economic times.

“Imagine going on air in a country where the minimum wage is less than a dollar to talk about a watch worth KSh 17 million. The majority are suffering; most of my patients die for less than a 20th of this watch.” One social media user lamented.
“Oscar Sudi was on Obinna show flaunting about his KSh 17 million watch! Things that continues to fuel our anger.” Government critic said.
“Yani Oscar Sudi, an MP, wears and flaunts a watch worth KSh 17 million…and yet the majority of the people he leads are poor. Kanjo Wa CBD
Bonnie Mwangi: “Here is a message Kenyans. We all can see that this level of ignorance and tone-deafness is unbelievably out of control. But the man did not get into office via a coup. He ran for office and the voters fell for it.”
