Raila launches website to promote his AUC bid
2 min readRaila Odinga has officially unveiled a website to support his Africa Union Commission (AUC) chairmanship bid.
The website was launched moments after President William Ruto officially unveiled his (Raila) candidature for the seat.
The event was held at State House and attended by leaders from the East Africa Community on Tuesday.
The page is accessible at https://www.railaodinga4auc.com/ and is titled Candidate of the Republic of Kenya for the chairperson of the African Union Commission.
“The Champion of Pan-Africanism.”
Raila intends to use the platform to reach out to other African nations as he embarks on a campaign to seek their support ahead of the February election.

On the page, Raila has outlined his vision, priorities for Africa, and why he is best suited for the post.
“The Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga possesses outstanding diplomatic and advocacy skills with a demonstrated ability to engage with global, continental, and regional leaders to advance Africa’s interests. His philosophy and experience highlighted below make him the ideal candidate for the role of AUCC Chairperson,” an introductory statement on the section reads.
The website also has a detailed description of who Raila is which includes his educational background, achievements and honours.
It also houses a gallery tab containing Raila’s moments captured in photos with various leaders while attending international meetings.
