Liverpool ready to pay £42million to secure signing to improve their central midfield department.
The Reds are looking to improve things in the central midfield and they have been linked with Spanish international Gavi.
The Merseysiders are interested in attracting the versatile midfielder from Barcelona, according to Mundo Deportivo, and his signing may be finalized by activating the £42 million clause by the end of June.
Now, according to a Catalan source, Nacional, Liverpool ready to pay £42 million to capture Gavi if he decides not to renew his contract with Barcelona.
According to the news site, the La Liga heavyweights are eager to sign the 17-year-old starlet to a new contract.
However, the talks have come to a halt since his agent is demanding a large new contract, which Barcelona cannot afford.

The teen sensation has already made six appearances for the senior national team, and he is a vital element of Xavi’s group at the Nou Camp.
Gavi can play anywhere in the midfield and has shown that he can also play on the attack. So far in the league, the kid has started 20 games, scored two goals, and added six assists.
He came on as a second-half replacement against Levante last night and set up Barca’s second goal.
Klopp has not replaced Wijnaldum or Grujic, but Milner, Thiago, and captain Henderson are all experienced players.
As a result, a young center midfielder should be enticed to the club.
