Rudiger made a ‘huge financial sacrifice’ to sign for Real Madrid; signed for less than he was offered at Chelsea.
Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger will be joining Real Madrid at the summer after reaching an agreement with the club.
The German international has not expressed any interest in renewing his deal with Chelsea and is expected to join the La Liga leaders.

According to reports from Rodrigo Faez, Rudiger made a sacrifice to ensure his move to the Bernabeu was sealed.
The renewal proposal from Chelsea boasted of a higher salary than what Madrid are offering him. Yet, he chose to change clubs and accepted the pay cut.
On Sunday, Tuchel confirmed that the defender would leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, saying that he and the club tried their best to convince him to stay.
“The situation is that he wants to leave the club. He informed me of this is in a private talk. We gave everything — me and the club — but we could not fight anymore. Without the sanctions we would at least be able to carry on fighting, but our hands are tied. We don’t take it personally. It is his decision,” he said.
