Speaking on Monday, October 23 during the burial of Mzee Peter Gichuki in Nyeri County, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro said the government was doing the opposition a favor by engaging in talks with them.
“We saw the opposition leaders in Kitengela purporting to give threats that they are going to walk out of the ongoing talks. We want to tell them it is even a favor that we are engaging in those talks, the citizens of Kenya have no time for those talks. The Kenyan people want all the leaders to do their job,” he stated.
In addition, the Kiharu MP asked the Azimio leaders to focus on criticizing the government in a constructive manner.
“If you are in the opposition, you already have a job to criticize the government constructively. Please opposition leaders embark on that role,” he added.

His remarks comes after Raila said he will not sign the final bipartisan committee report if there is no provision to reduce the high cost of living.
Speaking while in Kitengela, Kajiado County, Azimio leader noted that the cost of living was high and demanded the return of fuel subsidy.
“There will be no signing of the bipartisan committee report if it doesn’t have a provision for the reduction of the cost of living,” Odinga announced on Sunday, October 22.
He continued, “We want the fuel VAT tax reduced from 16% to 8% where former President Uhuru Kenyatta left it.
Meanwhile, the dialogue committee is currently in a retreat in Naivasha, Nakuru County to write the final report of the Bipartisan talks.
