According to police, the deceased, a Grade 9 pupil, allegedly fell from the third floor of a classroom block through a stair grill.
Police officers who responded to the scene established that the student sustained a severe head injury consistent with a skull fracture and excessive bleeding.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) officers from Embakasi documented and processed the scene before the body was moved to Kenyatta University Funeral Home pending a post-mortem examination.
The next of kin were notified and arrived at the school following the incident.
Police have commenced investigations to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the fall.
There was panic as parents trooped to the school after getting news of the incident.
A team revisited the scene as part of the probe into the fatal fall.

Meanwhile, police in Athi River East Subcounty, Machakos county, are investigating the death of a 30-year-old casual labourer whose body was found inside a quarry in Ngelani area under unclear circumstances.
According to the site manager of a machine-cut quarry the deceased, identified as Bernard Mutiso, was last seen at about 4:30 am before he went missing. Workers initially assumed he had gone to rest.
However, at around 6:00 a.m., the day shift team arriving at the quarry discovered his body lying within the site.
Police officers visited the scene at Ngelani Quarry, Katani Location.
Investigators established that the deceased had sustained severe head injuries, with his skull reportedly completely crushed.
The scene was processed and photographed before the body was moved to Machakos Level 5 Hospital mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
Police have launched investigations to establish whether the incident was accidental or involved foul play.
