Three top players Chelsea FC are targeting this summer
Chelsea FC have named Jules Kounde, Declan Rice, and Aurelien Tchouameni as three of their top targets for the summer according to reports.
After failing to sign any big-name players last month, The Athletic claims that the southwest London club’s “goal” was to strengthen in the summer rather than in the January window.
Chelsea FC signed adolescents Dylan Williams and Mason Burstow during the mid-season transfer window but did not spend money on a proven player.
Chelsea FC’s objective now, according to the same report, is to improve their team with potential long-term transfer targets during the summer window.
Monaco’s Tchouameni, West Ham’s Rice, and Sevilla’s Kounde – all of whom have been linked with the Blues in the past – are among the objectives for the conclusion of the season.
According to the same report, none of those three players will be cheap, and there will be plenty of competition for their services in the coming weeks and months.
It’s unclear whether the Blues will be able to complete agreements for the trio, but the fates of a number of key players are also in doubt as the summer approaches.
Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, and Cesar Azpilicueta are all out of contract at the end of the season, and it’s unclear if they’ll sign new contracts or go on a free transfer in the summer.
Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel is preparing his team for their FA Cup fourth-round match against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday lunchtime at Stamford Bridge.
