Nyandarua woman seeks help to cure mysterious swelling on her stomach.
Kezia Nyambura Macharia, a 41-year-old mother of three in Kipipiri Constituency, Nyandarua County, is appealing for well-wishers’ support to undergo an operation at Kenya National Hospital to cure a strange swelling on her stomach.
The swelling, she says, started as a small bulging of the stomach which she thought was pregnancy, but the bulging continued increasing forcing her to visit several hospitals without getting a solution.
Since 2019, Nyambura has been walking with difficulty because the swollen stomach has become too heavy to carry.
The mother of three, who lives in Kiambogo village had an ultrasound done on her at the JM Kariuki Memorial Hospital in Ol Kalou but the procedure did not detect anything.

She was advised to go to Nakuru PGH hospital to undergo a CT scan and it is here that she was told the swelling is emanating from the uterus and that she has to undergo surgery to remove it.
The swelling has even interrupted her sleep as every 10 minutes, she has to wake up, stand up then turn.
She hopes Kenyans of good will can help her go to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment as soon as possible.
Her children who are in form two, grade eight and grade six respectively are taken care of by their grandmother who is unable to keep them in school uninterrupted. The children are always being sent home because of school fees arrears.
