Man kills wife, tests in-laws, then hangs himself over their inability to bear
A man has reportedly killed his wife and committed suicide at their residence in Ukwala Siaya County, over their inability to bear children.
Enoch Omollo, 48, was found dead alongside his 43-year-old wife, Dorothy Omanya, with a suicide note.
The man sent an SMS to alert his in-laws that he had killed their daughter
Area Assistant Chief Henry Oduor revealed that he received a text message from the woman’s relatives notifying them of a probable murder in the Uloma C community.
“Together with the village elder, we rushed to their home and found them all dead. The wife’s lifeless body was covered with a piece of cloth on the bed and the man’s body was hanging by the bedside,” Oduor explained.
“The note had a title referring to his in-laws, Jo-Kochia (The People of Kochia).
It then stated; ‘I have killed your daughter’,” Oduor said.
The couple is alleged to have fought over their lack of children, with the male blaming the wife for their infertility.

“They have had commotions here and there over their inability to sire children and we highly suspect that this must have led to their deaths.
“We also learned that the man had married another female and has been dwelling with her within the location for the past three months,” the assistant chief stated.
