According to reports, a police officer from the Nakuru central police station refused to pay a Ksh. 16,000 bill at a local joint, resulting in one person being shot dead and three others nursing serious gunshot injuries at Nakuru Level 5 Hospital.
The officer is reported to have opened fire at the pub during the Wednesday, 2 AM incident before escaping.

However, the officer was arrested and detained at the Kaptebwa police station, according to the Nakuru County police commander.
Police said the four victims comprised two men and two women. The deceased was a woman (the barmaid) and her body was taken to the municipal mortuary.
Doctors said the other woman was also undergoing surgery while the two males were in stable condition.
