“Ati kuna watu wengine wanafikiria kwamba watatufanyia maandamano ati Kenya isimame, nataka niwaambie, hatuwezi kuruhusu taifa letu lifanyiwe karata ya pata potea, watu wafanye maandamano, walete maafa, uaribifu wa mali, wachome manyumba ya serikali kwa sababu ya mambo ya kibinafsi,” he said.
The President said that he will not allow a few people to destroy the democracy and the country.
He further added that Kenya is a peace-loving nation that believes in the rule of law.

He said the country is a democratic nation where Kenyans are the ones to determine their leaders.
“Uongozi wa Kenya hauamuliwi kwa fujo na kwa mtandao, maandamano au kwa vita. Uongozi unaamuliwa na Wakenya kupitia demokrasia ,” he said.
Kenyans across the country led by the young people popularly known as Gen-Z protestors took to the streets to demand accountability and good governance from the government.
The protests put the President under pressure leading to droping of the Finance Bill 2024 which had sparked the street protests.
Ruto also dissolved his previous cabinet and is in the process of reconstituting a new one which he said is broad-based.
