Shock as employer allegedly beats employee to death

Investigation launched as Lang’ata man(an employee) dies at the hands of his employer

Investigation launched as Lang’ata man(an employee) dies at the hands of his employer.

A man in Lang’ata was allegedly brutally murdered at the hands of his employer after disappearing with his motorcycle for two days without paying his daily dues.

Two days after using his employer’s motorcycle, the man met the cruel hand of death when he went to return the bike to his boss.

According to his cousin and close friend, the man was allegedly beaten to death by the employer and his associates in the wee hours of the night.

The employer, who is now the main suspect, fled and is yet to be found.

“I got a phone call at midnight telling me that my cousin is being beaten up. Three people were sent to my house, and I could not leave the house. I heard they were very rowdy, and I could not leave while being alone,” the cousin stated.

The close friend, who works as a watchman, echoed the deceased cousin’s sentiments, noting that he was on duty and could not leave his job of guarding people’s cars to rescue his friend. He, however, noted that if neighbours came out, he could have joined.

The cousin said that upon calling the suspect later, he was met with a message of rebuttal that seemingly confirmed that he was the orchestrator of the murder.

“When I called, I was told, ‘Don’t make stupid phone calls; that one we killed him and buried him (sic)’,” revealed the deceased’s cousin.

Detailing the gruesome nature of his cousin’s murder, the deceased’s kin stated that he had blows to the back of the head brought about by a blunt object, nail marks on his forehead, fractures to his left leg, and a rapture on his stomach.

The main suspect, who is the deceased’s employer, is known for having a motorcycle business as well as rental properties.

After the murder, it is alleged that the suspect’s rental properties were demolished by an angry mob with the tenants sent packing.

The family of the deceased’s kin is crying foul over their loved one’s murder, citing that the motorcycle at the center of the dispute was returned, leaving no need for the aftermath that was later witnessed.

While the suspect remains at large, the family is preparing to bury its kin as detectives continue to probe the murder and attempt to piece together the events that led to the murder of the man.
