The employee was informed in the termination letter dated Monday, March 25, to quit the Governor’s Delivery Unit immediately.

According to the termination letter, the communications personnel was accused of breaching his contract by participating in social media discussions that painted the County Government in a bad light.

“As a public officer, it is imperative that you maintain professionalism and refrain from engaging in activities that undermine the reputation and integrity of our organization and its officials,” he was told while being handed his marching orders.

“The young man threatened that he can even be paid by a neighbouring governor and other politicians within the county so it was only logical he be relieved of his duties,” the source revealed.

In unverified WhatsApp chats, the now-fired county employee could be seen asking for payment from his employer.

He argued that he had risked a lot to campaign for the current administration and as such, he needed financial reimbursement as a form of appreciation.

Further, another text bragged how he was a chief propagandist for the administration and was ready to offer his services to another party.

“We appreciate your past contributions and wish you well in your future endeavours,” he was told.
