COTU boss Francis Atwoli absolves Ruto of any blame as he calls out Kenyans lamenting over the high cost of living.

Central Organisation of Trade Unions boss, Francis Atwoli has told off Kenyans complaining of high taxes and the high cost of living.

Atwoli insisted that President William Ruto was very clear about his plans during the 2022 presidential campaigns on his intentions to build the country with the support of all Kenyans.

Atwoli said what Ruto is currently doing is asking Kenyans to bring resources to help him build the country as he promised.

“Even currently, people are complaining of the high cost of living, price of things has gone up, oh we voted for this government but better William Samoei Ruto. He was very clear when he was campaigning. He told you wewe mama mboga, wewe mtu wa boda boda and everybody that this government will build with you,” he said.

Atwoli insisted that it is time for Kenyans to accept that there are things that cannot be changed.

He added that it is time they accept that Ruto is in charge and give him time to implement his plan for the country.

“We must accept for him to implement his agenda because there are some situations you cannot change for either five years or 10 years.”

Atwoli is among the influential Kenyan leaders who strongly campaigned against President William Ruto as he backed Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

However, Atwoli switched sides after the 2022 elections and offered to support President William Ruto.
