Jacque Maribe accompanies CS Kuria to a state function as PSC denies her appointment
Former Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe spotted with CS Kuria amid controversy surrounding her appointment.
Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria was on Thursday, March 14, spotted in the company of Jacque Maribe despite the Public Service Commission denying her appointment.
Maribe accompanied the CS during his inspection tour of vocational training centres within Nakuru County.
The former Citizen TV news anchor was seen walking side by side with the CS who was also in the company of other county stakeholders including Nakuru County Deputy Governor David Kones.
Despite accompanying him to Nakuru to inspect the vocational training centres, the CS did not comment on Maribe’s alleged new role in his Ministry.
Maribe’s trip with the CS came moments after the Public Service Commission Chairperson Anthony Munchiri dismissed claims that the TV girl had landed an appointment at Kuria’s ministry as the Head of Communication.
Muchiri in his clarification letter, noted that no such appointment had been made, nor had the board received a request to employ her.
While insisting on the matter, the PSC Chairperson noted the position would be filled through a competitive recruitment process should a vacancy arise.

While offering further clarification, Muchiri referenced CS Moses Kuria’s comments. The CS had admitted to the appointment of Maribe in his docket but had not affirmed the public on what role she had been trusted with.
Rumours of Mairbe’s appointment to PSC first emerged on March 10, with digital strategist Dennis Itumbi congratulating Jacque Maribe for her appointment.
Itumbi also lauded the Public Service CS Kuria for offering Maribe an opportunity in his Ministry.
“Congratulations, Jacque Maribe. May God bless you as you serve. Thank you Moses Kuria for standing with a generation, please keep doing good and stretching your hand,” the strategist noted.
The controversies in Maribe’s appointment and PSC clarification come a month after she was acquitted in the murder case of businesswoman Monica Kimani after the court found her not guilty.
