KCPE exams disrupted in Baringo after banditry attack

KCPE exams have been disrupted in Kapkosum village, Mochongoi, Baringo after a banditry attack.

Tensions are high in Kapkosum village, Mochongoi, Baringo South, following a suspected bandit raid that disrupted KCPE exams at two schools.

During the morning raid, businesses were also disrupted. According to police, the security situation has been restored.

On Monday, KCPE exams began across the country.

Even as the national exams begin across the country, Baringo county has been a source of concern for candidates.

Attacks in the area have recently increased to the point where bandits are targeting educational institutions.

Last month, a school bus driver was killed in an attack on Tot High School students and teachers on their way back to school after a field trip.

Bandits attacked one of three buses transporting students and fired indiscriminately at the passengers, including teachers.

During the attack, 13 people were injured.
