Mother and three kids burnt to death in a house fire
A family of four, mother and three kids burnt to death while asleep in a house fire in in Kabete, Kiambu County.
A fire incident in Kabocha village in Kabete, Kiambu county has killed a mother and three children.
The fire, which started at 2:00 am on Saturday, December 30, burnt the house completely to the ground, while the four were sleeping.
Nyathuna ward representative Eddy Kinyanjui confirmed the incident explaining that property was also destroyed in the tragedy.
While confirming the incident Kabete OCPD Antony Mbogoh stated that the fire’s cause is still unknown.
He said detectives had embarked on a probe to establish the cause of the fire, as people try to uncover what caused the tragic incident.

Fire incidents involving children have in the past year remained unsolved, as launched investigations remain inconclusive.
Two weeks ago, another fire incident reported in Kabete killed two children aged two years and four years.
According to a neighbour, the mother had left the children in the house to pick up luggage from the bus stop.
Investigations done were inconclusive, as witnesses presumed faulty electricity wires might have caused the fire.
On Christmas day, a six-year-old child died after a house in Kayole police quarters caught fire.
Police reports noted that a police officer was injured trying to save the deceased’s sister, who received extensive treatment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.
