The National Youth Service (NYS) has released the master list of shortlisted candidates who applied for various cadet and technical positions within the service.

In a notice on Tuesday, June 9, NYS released a list of thousands of individuals who have now moved to the next phase of the recruitment drive to onboard professionals into the service.

The list features hundreds of names distributed across various cadets and technical positions within the service.

“The National Youth Service (NYS) is pleased to announce shortlisted candidates for the vacancies of Specialist Officers Cadets (Graduate and Diploma), Private Officers (Technical and General Duty),” NYS announced.

Cadets’ positions span disciplines such as structural engineering, accounting, auditing, and chain management, among others.

On the other hand, private officers include various sections, such as drivers, agricultural officers, masons, carpenters, among others.

The shortlisted candidates have been called for mandatory in-person selection interviews, scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 30.

The service has urged all applicants to immediately review the published schedules to verify their status and prepare their academic and professional documentation in accordance with the scheduled timeline.

“The shortlisted candidates are hereby invited for Interviews and Selection from Tuesday, June 30 2026,” the service added.

According to NYS, the date, time and venue for the interviews will be communicated to each shortlisted candidate via email in due time.

During the interview period, candidates were urged to present specific documents before the interview panel to secure a spot in the service.

The candidates are required to present a valid national identity card or passport, original academic certificates, and valid professional certificates, including registration documents with relevant bodies.

They are also required to present a detailed curriculum vitae (CV) and copies of testimonials.
