Suleiman Shabhal told the press that he will collaborate closely with Abdulswamad to bring positive change to Mombasa County.
He stated that being at the head of the county is not a must for him, and that he would rather support the benefit of the people of Mombasa and the party.
“I have been aspiring to be governor of Mombasa for the last 10 years. But the objective to be governor was not for Suleiman Shabhal. The objective was to bring change and development to the people of Mombasa.
Raila also announced that Mombasa Senator, Mohamed Faki, will defend his seat in the August elections on the ODM ticket.
Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir will now battle out with Omar Hassan of UDA and Mike Sonko, Wiper Party in the august general elections.
