Langat and nominated MP Wilson Sossion
Senator Christopher Langat of Bomet and nominated MP Wilson Sossion of Bomet are discussing the possibility of one of them running as an independent candidate in the upcoming general election.
They claimed that this was the most reliable approach for voters to be assured of fairness.
The obviously enraged couple described the manner in which the United Democratic Alliance nomination process in the county was conducted as “shambolic.”
“Whatever starts badly will have a bad ending, we had raised issues since the start on the manner the recruitment of clerks and presiding officers was conducted but the party did not pay any attention to it and these are the results…a shambolic exercise which does not reflect the will of the people, it seems there were plans to rig us out and especially me,” Sossion said.
He added, “I am not going to accept these results and in fact moving forward I will announce my next move since we have other independent bodies that can guarantee us fairness.”
In the results, Sigei floored the two garnering 77,500 while Langat scoring 65, 006. Sossion managed 45,371 votes.
