Paul Pogba, Antonio Rudiger, and Kylian Mbappe tops the list of high talent that will be available on free transfers
List of high profile players on a free transfer
Kylian Mbappe
Mbappe is among the most high profile players on free transfer this summer, who has long been linked with a move to boyhood club Real Madrid.
However, it has been reported that Mbappe’s mum Fayza Lamari has demanded that the club pay an extraordinary £125million signing on fee for the forward.
The France striker has snubbed talks over a new contract with PSG despite the best efforts of the club – and although a deal appeared close there might now be some more deliberations to be done following the shock request.
Paul Pogba
Paul Pogba’s time at Manchester United looks set to end this summer with the France international finally coming to an end of the deal he signed in 2016.
The club took up their option of extending that by a further year in 2021, but they have again failed to secure major silverware despite the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Overall, Pogba has shown glimpses of his brilliance but never been able to showcase the consistent form that earned him a move back to the Premier League from Juventus.
Antonio Rudiger
Antonio Rudiger is said to have been in talks with Chelsea over a new deal before their recent restrictions – but could now be forced to move on.
The Germany international has been one of the best defenders in the league since Thomas Tuchel arrived at the club – after which they lifted the Champions League.
Rudiger will not be short of options should his time at Stamford Bridge come to an end, with Juventus said to be leading the charge.
Paulo Dybala
Dybala’s failure to agree a new deal with Serie A giants Juventus will bring to an end his seven-year association with the club.
The 28-year-old left Palermo for a fee of around £30million back in 2015, and has gone on to score 113 goals across 283 fixtures and win five league titles.
One source of regret for Dybala might be scoring only twice across his first 32 fixtures for Argentina – and his next club move could bear that in mind.
Ousmane Dembele
Ousmane Dembele has struggled in the most part since his 2017 move from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona in 2017 – which cost in the region of £100million.
However, the 24-year-old has burst back into life under the guidance of Xavi, registering nine assists across his 20 matches under the Spanish icon.
While that form could see the club and player enter fresh talks, he has been linked with moves to both PSG and United over the past few months.
Jesse Lingard
Jesse Lingard is set to finally leave United this summer having been blocked from returning to West Ham after a sparkling end to the 2020/21 Premier League season.
Having forced his way back into England plans, the 29-year-old will be dreaming of a fine start to the new season with the World Cup starting in November.
Lingard has made 19 appearances for the Red Devils so far this season – scoring only twice.
