Ruto won't stop giving to Church; Mama Rachel

First Lady Rachel Ruto says President William Ruto will not stop giving to churches or supporting other people because doing so is his way of life

First Lady Rachel Ruto says President William Ruto will not stop giving to churches or supporting other people because doing so is his way of life. 

Mama Rachel said he knew Ruto as a generous person even before they got married and for the last 33 years they have been married.

“I have lived with President Ruto and I know him as someone who likes giving always and supporting other people,” Rachel said.

The First Lady said Ruto would always refund transport or support those who visited their home.

She said the President cares about the welfare of people and would not change his position.

“He has been giving and he will continue to give,” Rachel said.

The First Lady was speaking at AIC Pioneer in Eldoret during a thanksgiving service to mark 50 years of the church’s existence.

She asked worshippers not to lose hope because Ruto would always give as guided by God.

Mama Rachel racalled an incident where she requeted the President to give her cash for use at home but he did not have.

“He looked in his pockets and told me he did not have because he had given out everything,” Rachel said.

She remined worshippers that the Bible says a giving hand is always blessed. 

“Let’s continue to give bacause the Bible says the hand that gives is blessed.”

The First Lady said although a lot was going on in the country, Kenyans should have faith that the country was in a good place because of God , the church and leaders who mind the welfare the Kenyans. 

Present during the church service were Kapseret MP, Oscar Sudi, nominated MP Joseph Wainaina, Health PS Mary Muthoni and Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii among others. 

Sudi and Wainaina also defended the President for supporting churches and condemned social media critics who are always opposed to governmemt programmes.
