Woman stabs boyfriend to death over cheating allegations
Woman surrenders to police in Siaya after stabbing boyfriend to death over cheating allegations.
Police in Siaya are holding a 28-year-old woman, Vivian Akoth, who surrendered herself after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Charlton Obare, 35, to death in Siaya Sub-County.
The incident, reportedly triggered by accusations of infidelity, occurred on Saturday, December 7, at night.
According to Grace Otieno, the Assistant Chief of Mur-Ng’iya sub-location, Charlton arrived home around 9:00 pm with a friend, Reagan, before Vivian followed shortly after.
“Reagan heard a commotion as he was leaving and saw Vivian running past him, being chased by Charlton, who had already been stabbed near the heart,” Otieno said.
She added that Charlton collapsed moments later, prompting Vivian to ask Reagan to confirm his condition.
“She even arranged for a motorbike to take him to the hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries before help could arrive,” the Assistant Chief explained.
After the incident, Vivian fled the scene but later turned herself in at Siaya Police Station.

Police officers visited the scene and moved Charlton’s body to Siaya County Referral Hospital mortuary as investigations continue.
Otieno took the opportunity to caution the youth against resorting to violence. “Disputes should be resolved amicably, not through violence.
Taking the law into your own hands only leads to tragedy,” she said. Vivian, a mother of one, remains in custody as detectives piece together details of the incident.
Authorities have urged members of the public to embrace peaceful conflict resolution to avoid similar occurrences.
