Ten people dead with several others injured after a tragic road accident in Mbooni, Makueni County.
Ten people died, while seven others sustained injuries after the driver of a 14-seater matatu lost control of the vehicle and it rolled at Kwa Mbisu area in Mbooni West along Kikima Kali road on Saturday evening.
Mbooni West deputy county commissioner Stanislaus Apuoka said scores of those who sustained injuries during the incident were rushed to Mbooni sub-county hospital for medical attention.

The driver of a 14-seater matatu that was headed to Machakos from Kikima is said to have lost control before landing in a ditch after it rolled several times.
The matatu was extensively damaged.
The injured were taken to Mbooni sub-county hospital and the bodies were taken to the mortuary.
