Former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday, December 24, presented Christmas gifts to children at various homes.

The former Head of State encouraged Kenyans to embrace compassion and sharing during this festive period.

In a statement, Uhuru said that Christmas is a time to share virtues with everyone.

“Once again Christmas is here; a time to remember and apply our shared values of compassion, sharing, and communion. We share this holiday with all people of all persuasions because what we celebrate are cherished universal human impulses. Let the holidays bring us closer to each other so that collectively, we can lighten our burden and brighten our journey. Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year!” wrote Kenyatta.
