Government orders all national schools parents to pay fees via eCitizen in line with President Ruto's agenda

Government orders all national schools parents to pay fees via eCitizen in line with President Ruto’s agenda.

The Ministry of Education has directed all parents or guardians whose learners are in national schools to make payments through the eCitizen platform through a circular addressed to principals.

The new form of fee payment is slated to start being active on February 6, 2024.

The school heads were therefore asked to provide the respective particulars of their schools to be aligned with the government system.

It should however be noted that the directive was addressed to the national schools.

Expected from the principals are their respective bank details.

According to the Ministry, the move would be in line with the government’s agenda of onboarding all government services onto the e-Citizen platform to enhance service delivery.
