The Ministry of Health has announced new scholarship opportunities for students interested in pursuing medical and dental studies in Bangladesh.
In a statement on Monday, January 13, Health Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai announced that the scholarships were facilitated by the Government of Bangladesh under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
According to Kimtai, the Government of Bangladesh has reserved 221 seats for international students.
Out of these, 117 seats are allocated for students from SAARC countries, 99 seats for non-SAARC countries, and five seats under Bangladesh’s Government Scholarship program.

In addition to scholarships in government medical and dental colleges, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare will also consider applications for admission to private medical and dental colleges.
Candidates applying for admission to government medical and dental colleges are required to submit their application forms along with all academic records and supporting documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs by January 15, 2025, for further processing.
For those applying to private medical and dental colleges, online applications must be submitted through (http://foreignstudents.dgme.gov.bd/login) by March 15, 2025.
