Maina Njenga addresses reports of being Ruto’s new point man in Mt Kenya

Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga denies being President William Ruto’s new point man in Mt Kenya
Former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga denies being President William Ruto’s new point man in Mt Kenya.
“I am aligning with Kenyans. Right now we want unity. I was an Azimio person,” Njenga said distancing himself from the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Njenga returned to the headlines after the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, raising speculations that he is poised to tackle Gachagua and steer the vote-rich region in favour of President William Ruto.
Speaking on the HOT Breakfast show, Njenga dismissed recent claims by Gachagua, who alleged the resurgence of a gang sponsored by the State to wreak havoc in the region.
The former DP called on his allied Members of Parliament to write a petition to the International Criminal Court (ICC), informing them of the resurgence of Mungiki.

“He (Gachagua) wants to take me to The Hague yet he is toothless. That is just yapping,” Njenga stated.
On Hot 96 radio, Njenga also condemned the cases of abductions in the country, even as he recounted his ordeal.
“I have been a victim of abduction, I was taken in for 7 days when planning Raila-led protests. I was taken with hooded men just before dinner, driven for 300 kilometres. It is not a good thing, the government should stop it,” he stated.
