A section of MPs from Rift Valley have continued to drum up support for President William Ruto as they condemn the ongoing online attacks against the Head of State

A section of MPs from Rift Valley have continued to drum up support for President William Ruto as they condemn the ongoing online attacks against the Head of State.

Speaking in Baringo, the leaders Members of Parliament including Oscar Sudi (Kapseret), Johanna Ng’eno (Emurua Dikir), and Reuben Kiborek (Mogotio) said that leaders supporting President Ruto will start to defend him against ongoing political attacks.

“These political attacks are unwarranted, the president is focused on delivering for the country, but some people are trying to pull him down, but we will not give room to such politics,” Sudi said. 

He vowed to work hard to ensure that Ruto secures his second term in office and called on critics to give him an opportunity to work for Kenyans.

On his part, Ngeno said that they want to explain to Kenyans what the government is doing and will be responding directly to the haters who are derailing development programs.

MP Kiborek lashed out at former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua over his statements that contradicts what he said and did while in office.

“This man told us about the affordable housing programs, about subsidized fertiliser, the new funding model, when did it occur to him that those things are no longer true?” he said.

The Head of State has recently been a target of condemnation from Kenyans on social media, who believe Ruto is not steering the country to the right direction.
