You will not be a one-time president if you stay with Raila – ODM MP tells Ruto

Alego Usonga Member of Parliament (MP) Samuel Atandi believes that President William Ruto will extend his tenure if he maintains his camaraderie with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga
Alego Usonga Member of Parliament (MP) Samuel Atandi believes that President William Ruto will extend his tenure if he maintains his camaraderie with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
MP Atandi told President Ruto during a Sunday service in Dagoreti North, Nairobi county, that his second term as Head of State is guaranteed provided he stays close to Mr. Odinga.
“As long as you’re with God and you’re with Baba you’ll never be a one-time president,” he said.
The legislator further dismissed censures from naysayers attacking Ruto’s government, assuring the President of mass support in the 2027 General Election.
He also expressed optimism in the transformation of the nation’s economy which has been a thorn in the flash of Ruto’s leadership.
“I know that our economy is jumpstarting and this year we will see money flowing into the pockets of Kenyans,” he noted.

President Ruto invited Odinga to his government in July 2024 when he appointed opposition allied politicians to his Cabinet in what he termed a broad-based government.
Odinga has three of his political soldiers in the government and in return, Ruto vowed to ramp up support for Odinga’s African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson bid.
Ruto has maintained his commitment to uphold unity in the nation and he will not shy from onboarding any like-minded individuals to his government despite the region they hail from.
