The Ministry of Education has secured scholarship opportunities for university undergraduate, Masters and PhD programmes in China and Hungary

The Ministry of Education has secured scholarship opportunities for university undergraduate, Masters and PhD programmes in China and Hungary.

In a notice on Tuesday, November 19, the Ministry disclosed that it had received communication from the Chinese Embassy in Nairobi that the Chinese government was offering 17 scholarship opportunities to deserving Kenyans for the academic year 2025/26.

“The Ministry is in receipt of communication from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Nairobi informing that the Chinese Government is offering 17 scholarships to deserving Kenyan students to study Undergraduate, Master’s and PhD for 2025/2026 academic year in China,” read part of the notice.

The Ministry noted that the details of the scholarships and the application procedure are available on the websites www.education.go.ke and www.csmpuschina.org.

The deadline for the applications will be on Friday, December 6, 2024.

“The standard and online application forms should reach the Ministry not later than Friday, 6th December, 2024, by 5:00 p.m.” the Ministry stated.

At the same time, the Ministry announced that Hungary is offering 200 scholarship opportunities to eligible Kenyans for undergraduate, Masters, One-Tier Masters (OTM) and PhD studies.

It disclosed that the study programmes and host institutions are accessible on the online application system’s website at https://apply.stipendiumhungaricum.hu.

“Interested candidates are requested to visit the Ministry of Education website at www.education.go.ke for detailed information,” read part of the notice.

The deadline for the applications will be on Friday, January 17, 2025.
