Kindiki takes over Gachagua’s position as UDA deputy party leader
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has been named the deputy party leader of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).
The UDA National Executive Committee (NEC) held a meeting on Monday morning, where it resolved to replace former DP Rigathi Gachagua, who served as the party’s deputy leader.
While reading the resolutions, UDA chairperson Cecily Mbarire and Secretary General Hassan Omar said they are arrived at the decision following the successful impeachment of Rigathi last month hence rendering him incapable of discharging his duties as deputy party leader.

The officials gave the incoming deputy party leader assurance saying his unmatched skills will help in taking the party forward.
On his side, Kindiki said he is ready to serve with loyalty adding that the party will work with other institutions to solve issues affecting not only the party but the country.
Kindiki said he is assuming the role of deputy party leader at a time the country is at crossroad, adding that UDA stands for unity for all Kenyans regardless of their background.
