Police have confirmed that the recovery of bodies from a dumpsite in Mukuru Slums will continue on Saturday.
According to reports, police at the scene have confirmed that several bodies were recovered on Friday.
Body parts including legs and arms were also recovered.
A senior officer who spoke on anonymity has said that the recovery process needs proper planning to ensure that all bodies are retrieved.
“We need proper planning to ensure the safety of the public and that the process is safe,” he said.
He said that police believe there are more bodies in the dumpsite.
The officer said that a police report will be available after the recovery process is complete.

He also said that they speculate that the bodies are of similar origin due to the similar nature of which they were wrapped.
He could not confirm the injuries on the bodies as they remained wrapped adding that that will be confirmed at the morgue.
The bodies were wrapped in sacks and dumped at a dumping site. Police say some were fresh while others were decomposed.
They seemed to have been killed elsewhere and dumped at the site near Kware Police Station.
