Man living with disability burnt to death inside his house
Sombre mood after a man living with disability was burnt to death inside his house in Muragara village in Kirinyaga County.
According to reports, a fire broke out at the house of 62-year-old Joseph Ndei on Saturday night at around 10.00 pm.
The area residents said the incident could be an arson attack since it was happening for the second time.
The disabled man identified as Ndei, who had been living alone, was severely burnt as neighbours could not evacuate him from the house on time.

“The residents who noticed the house which was already in flames responded immediately but their attempts to rescue the man in his wooden house were futile,” said his neighbour Christine Wanjiru.
Confirming the incident Ndia sub-county police commander Moses Koskei said the cause of the fire remains unknown.
“We have taken his remains to Kerugoya Referral Hospital waiting for postmortem as police launch investigations to establish what caused the fire,” Koskei said.
