Ruto offers to sponsor kid who attended his rally in Korogocho slum
President William Ruto has offered to sponsor the education of a kid who attended his rally in Korogocho, Nairobi on Thursday, September 12.
Speaking on Thursday in Korogocho, President Ruto said he will sponsor the child’s education from Grade One until he completes his high school education.
“This child called Kevin Omondi, I will pay for your school fees from grade one until you finish high school,” the Head of State announced amid cheers from the Korogocho locals.
Ruto’s announcement came after Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja requested him to intervene to help the child who was not in school like other children.

The Nairobi County boss requested the child together with his father be brought to the podium where President Ruto was addressing the locals.
“Do you see this child being carried here… bring that child. That child should be in school. Let him be brought by his father, the president is here,” said Governor Sakaja.
President Ruto is among the Kenyan politicians who have taken the responsibility to offer scholarships to children from poor backgrounds.
At the same time, President Ruto vowed to start a fishing project in the Nairobi River after ensuring the river is cleaned.
“We will ensure that we clean up this river until it becomes a good place where we can put fish and ensure that this river has enough water so our children can use it properly,” said Ruto.
