Raila’s sister wins award for best-performing public service chief officer in Kenya
Pauline Odhiambo Oginga, a stepsister to the late former prime minister Raila Odinga, has been recognised as the best-performing county chief officer for public service administration and devolution in Kenya.
In a statement shared on her social media accounts on Sunday, May 17, 2026, Pauline, who serves as the Chief Officer for Public Service Administration and Devolution in Mombasa County, expressed her joy and gratitude after receiving the award.
She said she was deeply honoured to be recognised at the East Africa Superwoman Awards, 7th Edition, noting that the award reflects collective effort rather than individual achievement.
“I am deeply honoured to have received the award for Best Performing Chief Officer for Public Service Administration and Devolution in Kenya 2026 at the East Africa Superwoman Awards, 7th Edition,” she stated.
Pauline added that the recognition belongs to her team, mentors, colleagues, and the residents of Mombasa County, whom she credited for inspiring her commitment to public service.
“This recognition is not just mine; it belongs to every hard-working team member, mentor, colleague, and the people of Mombasa County who continue to inspire service with purpose,” she added.
She also thanked those who have supported her leadership journey, saying the trust and opportunity to serve have been instrumental in her success.

Pauline’s quest for Nyali
This comes at a time when she has expressed interest in the Nyali parliamentary bid.
While speaking during an interview with political analyst Herman Manyora on Saturday, April 18, 2026, Pauline stated that her dream is to pursue political ambitions on the Coast, specifically in Nyali.
Regarding why she has chosen the Coast region rather than any other area, she explained that Nyali presents a unique political and demographic opportunity.
“I have a dream in a constituency somewhere in the Coast because the Coast has places where I have seen Luos. There are quite a number of Luos in Nyali, and the voting patterns in areas like Burra are more or less similar to those in Mombasa,” she explained.
