Eight shortlisted for Deputy Inspector General of Police (LIST)

The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has shortlisted candidates for the positions of Deputy Inspector General Kenya Police Service (DIG-KPS) and Deputy Inspector General, Administration Police Service (DIG-APS)
The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has shortlisted candidates for the positions of Deputy Inspector General Kenya Police Service (DIG-KPS) and Deputy Inspector General, Administration Police Service (DIG-APS).
NPSC Chief Executive Officer Peter Leley said those shortlisted for the position of DIG-KPS are George Adero Sedah, Eliud Kipkoech Lagat, Tom Mboya Odero, and Dr. Vincent Kinas Makokha.
At the same time, the Commission shortlisted Gilbert Masengeli, Margaret Nyambura Karanja, James Mukuha Kamau, and Dr. Masoud Mwinyi for the post of DIG-APS.
Interviews for those shortlisted candidates will take place on Monday, July 22, 2024, from 9:30 am.
Those shortlisted for the post of DIG-KPS will be the first to face the panel, with the exercise set to run until 12:15 pm.
Nominees for the position of DIG-APS will be grilled from 2:00 pm to 4:15 pm. Interviews will take place at the Kenya School of Government, Lowe Kabete Campus in Nairobi.

A total of 38 individuals applied for the positions of Deputy Inspector General Kenya Police Service and Deputy Inspector General, Administration Police Service following an advertisement by the Commission.
Out of this, 21 applied for the position of Deputy Inspector General, Kenya Police Service, while 13 applied for the post of Deputy Inspector General, Administration Police Service.
Other applicants however failed to specify positions they applied for. They are: Paul Omondi Okinyi, Brian Wekesa Wanyonyi, Abdirashid Bilali and Nicholas Mwiti.
Meanwhile, members of the public have been urged to submit any information relating to the candidates through written memoranda to the Commission’s chairperson or online on or before Monday next week.
