Safaricom announces scheduled system maintenance on Sunday
Safaricom on Saturday announced scheduled maintenance on Sunday at 11 pm and until 4 am on Monday, July 15, 2024.
In a statement, the telco said the services to be affected include; Lipa na M-Pesa pay bill, purchasing goods and services, international money transfers (including Western Union), M-Pesa Global, the M-Pesa app, and the My Safaricom app.
This is aimed at enhancing services to connect customers with endless possibilities.
“To meet our promise to always offer worry-free superior customer experiences, we will be conducting a scheduled system maintenance on the night of Sunday, July 14, 2024, from 11 pm to 4 am on Monday, July 15, 2024,” it said.
During the maintenance, access to lipa na M-PESA, paybill and buy goods services, international money Transfers (Western Union), M-PESA Global, as well as M-PESA App and my Safaricom App will be available intermittently.
The company assured its customers that all other services, including calls, data, SMS, and other M-Pesa functionalities, will remain fully operational during the maintenance window.

“All other services including calls, data, SMS and all other M-PESA services will be available as usual,” Safaricom said.
Safaricom highlighted that the timing of the maintenance has been carefully scheduled to minimize inconvenience to its users.
Safaricom apologised for any inconvenience caused and appreciates customers’ understanding as it strives to provide them with best-in-class services.
